Where "WE CARE" isn't just a motto, it's a commitment!
Queen City Nursing Center is a Mississippi licensed Skilled Nursing Facility, providing 24-hour Nursing care and Rehab Services. The facility was built in 1970, and is owned and has been operated by the same family for the past 30 years. The Howard's offer our community greater than fifty years of long term care experience. Queen City Nursing & Rehab is located at 1201 28th Avenue, Meridian Mississippi, just six blocks from the three area hospitals and the heart of the medical community. As our motto states, We Care; we take a holistic approach to providing quality care. This includes meeting the spiritual, emotional and social needs of our Residents. We have a 21 seat Fun Bus to go on outings, shopping, fishing or just to take a ride through the country. Many of our staff members have worked with us for 20 - 30 years. This provides a stable foundation in order to meet the needs of our Residents and Patients.
Our facility is certified for Medicare & Medicaid and we also accept Insurance and Private pay. In addition to Nursing, our Rehabilitation Department offers our Residents Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. For members in the community not requiring nursing care, rehabilitation services are available in our Rehab Department. Hospitals are discharging patients faster these days and many times an individual isnt ready to go home. Where do you go for that additional care? Perhaps you just need a couple of weeks to regain your strength. Queen City Rehab is just the place! We have an ADL apartment where therapists assist you with regaining strength, mobility and providing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and etc. Here the Therapists can monitor your progress in the kitchen, transferring from bed to chair in the bedroom or getting in/out of the shower. The program is tailored to meet your needs and get you back in your own home as soon as possible.
Our nursing facility is for the young and old alike. It is for convalescents of all ages who expect to recover fully, as well as for those in need of long term care. The emphasis is on living. The goal: to help patients care for themselves and to assist them in returning home whenever possible. Please feel free to drop and visit with us or contact us for additional information. Let us know how we can serve you.
