The Starkville Church of God is a fellowship of believers who gather around the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It is our objective to worship the Lord in spirit and truth and to help others come to know Jesus Christ in His grace and holiness.

The local church was organized in 1922, and over the last several decades has provided ongoing Christian witness to the Starkville community and surrounding region. Affiliated with the Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee, the Starkville Church of God is evangelical and Pentecostal in its heritage and tradition.

Because of its proximity to Mississippi State University, the Starkville Church of God has had the opportunity to minister to people from various parts of the world. We are happy to say that many of those international students and their families who have been touched by this church family have gone to other places to study and work or have returned to their homes with the imprint of God's Spirit and Word on their lives as a result of their time here.

Our priorities as a fellowship include worship, evangelism, discipleship, and unity, all in the context of the Spirit of Christ. The ministries of the Starkville Church of God are many and varied. We believe we are here for a specific purpose, which is to be the "representation" of Jesus Christ to our community, region, and ultimately, the world.

If you do not have a church family, we hope that you will prayerfully consider the Starkville Church of God as your home church. More important, if you have not come to know God in a personal way through Jesus Christ, it is our hope that you will do so today!
