Our Fall Sports Banquet will be November 9th at 6:30 pm. Cost is $5 per person (athletes do not pay). We will recognize Girls Soccer, Softball, JH and HS Cheerleaders, and JH and HS Football.

You are invited to attend a Veterans Day Assembly on November 11th at 9:45 am put on by Coach Welch's classes and the elementary students. Bring a friend!

We will be offering a Hunters Education certification class at Central Hinds on November 15, 16, and 17. The class will meet from 6-9 pm each night. Students must attend all classes to complete the course. Students must be at least 10 years old to attend. There is no charge for this class.

We have made an amendment to the dress code/uniform policy. Students may wear Central Hinds Academy sweatshirts Monday through Friday. If they plan to take off the sweatshirt they must have a uniform shirt on under it.

We would like to congratulate the many CHA students that participated in the 4H livestock competitions at the fair this year. They did a great job representing Hinds County and our school! Among those placing were Andrew Lay, the Soignier family, Rachel Yarbrough, Marley Gill, Carly Stocks, Taylor McNair, Anna Claire Lay, Pate and Lauren DeMuth, Ashley Douglas, Phillip Ball, Tori Traxler, and John Mark Kirby.

We now have a bulletin board in the office where families can post information about used uniforms they would like to sell! Please list on an index card shirt sizes and a contact number so potential buyers may call you. Be sure to check the bulletin board if you are looking for uniforms to buy!! (Remember to remove your card after you sell your uniforms.)

CHA is looking for group pictures of our past years football teams. We are trying to document as far back as possible. We are working on a project for our athletic department. If anyone has an old team picture, please scan and email it to centralhindsyearbook@gmail.com. Please include your name and the school year of the picture. If you do not want to use email, you may drop pictures off at the office for Carlin Specks. Thanks for your help!!

Athletic Season passes are for sale for $150 in the Business office. These passes are good for all regular season home games, not post season tournaments.

Community service - We have a book available in the office you can look through that will give you ideas on where your child can get community service hours.

The yearbook staff now has an email address! You may send photos to them to use in the yearbook. Send us any of your cute group shots or sports shots to centralhindsyearbook@gmail.com.

Anytime you shop at Office Depot give them CHA's school code 70059231 and we will receive a "5% Back to Schools Program" rebate.
