2010 Church Elections: Deacon Elections

Deacon elections will be held at a congregational meeting during the Sunday School hour this coming Sunday, November 21. Childrens Sunday School teachers will need to be in the sanctuary during the election, so parents should take their children to the sanctuary rather than to their classrooms on Sunday morning (children age 3 and under may be taken to the nursery). Children will be dismissed from the sanctuary and escorted to their Sunday School rooms by their teachers.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Packing a shoebox for a needy child in a foreign land is fun! Pick up a How to Pack Your Shoebox brochure in the lobby (front or back) for detailed instructions. Drop-off tables are in the back lobby and in the fellowship center. The due date is November 17. There will also be a Youth and Childrens Ministry shoebox packing party on November 3. During this party the children and youth will pack shoes boxes and write letters to mail to children all around the world through the program Operation Christmas Child. Parents will receive a letter with details soon.

Family Wednesdays

Family Night Suppers and all Wednesday programs will begin September 1! Supper will be served from 5:15 until 6:00, followed by programs for youth, children and adults. All the programs begin around 6:00, and most end by 7:00; choir and praise band practice will follow.
There will be three adult programs offered:

Love and Respect taught by Brandon Bates in the Fellowship Center
What We Believe taught by Bill Hyer in Room B110
For Fools Like Us taught by Jim Blaha in the Fellowship Center.

LAKESIDE 101

Want to know more about Lakeside? Lakeside 101 is the perfect place to ask all the questions you might have about Lakeside, about the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, and about the Christian faith. Want to consider being a member of Lakeside? LAKESIDE 101 is for you. This six-week course meets during the Sunday school hour (beginning at 9:45) on Sunday mornings, and will cover areas such as The Vision, The Distinctives, The Government, The Sacraments, and The Gospel.. A new class begins every six weeks, but you can jump in to join us on any given Sunday.
