We offer our patients comprehensive ophthalmic care through our team of ophthalmologists – Don E. Marascalco, M.D. and J. Lawrence Mason, Jr., M.D. and optometrists – Eric J. Johnson, O.D. and Kimberly Burrage, O.D. We also have three satellite offices to better serve our patients. They are staffed on a rotating basis. Our satellite offices include Meridian Eye Care located in the Wal Mart Supercenter, Butler Eye Center in Butler, Alabama, and Livingston Eye Center in Livingston, Alabama.
Our clinic takes great pride in providing state of the art diagnostic and surgical services for our patients. We were the first in the area to offer clear cornea, topical anesthesia cataract surgery. We were also the first to offer Laser Vision Correction. Our CustomVue Wavescanner was the first in-house unit in the state, and we are the only center in the area offering Intralase® bladeless refractive surgery.
We are also proud to offer subspecialty care in our Meridian office. Drs. Ching J. Chen and Richard Chu, board certified retinal specialists from the University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, provide retinal services at our central office. Our clinic is one of only two UMC retinal satellite clinics in the state. Dr. Robert A. Mallette, board certified in both pediatric ophthalmology and in cornea and external disease, also provides his services on a monthly basis.
