Becoming a part of the church is not joining an organization as much as becoming a part of a living organism.
Do you see yourself as making a difference? Do you feel that your life has purpose? That purpose can be found in a passionate relationship with Jesus Christ that both shapes who we are and gives direction to our lives. God created mankind for fellowship with him and outside of that fellowship there is a hole in our hearts that only he can fill. God has always had a plan for each of our lives and finding that plan brings deep and abiding fulfillment.
At Southside we believe that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ brings practical and observable changes to our lives as the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit transforms, empowers and enlists our lives. When operating within the will of God we find ourselves part of a body of people having eternal significance. The church is to be an expression of the heart and hand of God on earth. It is God working in us and through us.

Christ is a living and powerful Savior at work in the world today. Jesus said in John 14:12, "Anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." (NIV) Christ's work on the cross brought redemption, but the work of the redeemed is ongoing. Christ is ALIVE!! We CAN be too!
