The Fair Companies consist of Fair Propane Gas Systems, Inc., Fair Oil Company, and Fair Properties, LP. The Propane and Oil businesses are both 3rd generation companies that were started in the 1940s by John S Fair. John S. Fair, Jr. came into the business in 1975 after serving six years in the Armed Forces. In 1999, John S. Fair III (Johnny) joined his father in the family business. Over the last 30 years, John and more recently Johnny have expanded the business and positioned The Fair Companies as a market leader in the gasoline and propane industry. The Fair Companies now has over 50 employees with annual revenues of over 80 million dollars.
