ARLINGTON HEIGHTS BAPTIST CHURCH of Pascagoula, MS
Arlington Heights celebrated her forty-seventh anniversary in June, 2010. The fellowship, characterized by warmth and love, is grateful to those who have had a part in her ministry. Our program offers opportunities for growing in Christ, witnessing, and ministering to people in Pascagoula, Jackson County, and around the world. The church works in cooperative ministry with the Jackson County Baptist Association, Mississippi Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention.
Knowing God. Loving the Church. Serving the World

We have a place for ALL.
Born into privilege on a Virginia plantation, Charlotte Digges Moon, was called by God to focus her life on sharing Christ’s love with China’s lost masses. For 37 years she endured hardship and danger in a land oppressed by famine, disease and war. In the end, she loved the Chinese people more than life itself, giving her own food to starving neighbors – eventually dying of starvation herself.
During her career, she wrote home urging Southern Baptists to greater missions’ involvement and support. In 1888, the first offering for international missions collected enough to send three more missionaries to China.
Our International Missions' offering is named in her honor.
Every penny given to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is used to help support more than 5,000 Southern Baptist missionaries serving overseas.
The lost believe because you give!
This year, 2010, we are proposing a different ministry for our church at this season.
Our church is aging and thus our ministry to the elderly needs to be bumped up a notch. Our missionary houses have brought many new families across our paths which we do not need to forget.
So, in talking to others in our church, I would like to offer for our missionaries and those in the military, that we send cards from many of us: thinking of you, Christmas etc. If anyone would like to send packages for Christmas, you would need to send 6 to 8 weeks early. We can discuss at our meetings.
For our sick and elderly, we will be making a large calendar to mark your visit to which person, so we will not be forgetting anyone. Some of them are not ill, but they do need a visit showing that we care. Many visits at this particular season should lift spirits as it can be a lonely time for some. This way everyone in the church can participate and not have to “belong” to a mission group. Grab a friend and go together.
We do have a caring church and this will be another way to show others that we really do care.
As our sick and our elderly list grows, we need to show our support.
